The air brake flap (1) is operated by a pressure controlled ram (2) operated by the pneumatic pressure from a ram effect. A solenoid controlled pressure valve (28) regulates the ram pressure and hence the amount of flap deflection. The only connection between the aircraft controls and the flap system are electric, enabling simple assembly to be effected.
