The instrument panel for an office desk includes an electric clock with a date display and an acoustic alarm. The panel also includes programme keys for a desk calculator, with a selector switch, for connecting the clock or the calculator to an illuminated character display. The panel also has connection leads for a dictating machine and a radio etc. the dictating machine and radio pref positioned in further openings in the instrument panel. A store may be associated with the clock and programmed via programme keys, to allow the dictating machine, the radio or the acoustic alarm to be switched on at a given time.
