Chain strands alternately cross over with the top chain stread of the face conveyor and are guided through the station head frame. The chain strands of the face conveyor and the top chain strand of the gate road conveyor are provided with conveyor pan deck plates inside of the station head frame. The deck plate of the top chain strand of the face conveyor is interrupted in the region of the gate road conveyor. The top chain strand of the face conveyor is guided over the interruption position by at least one rod projecting in direction of the chain strand. The rod has longitudinally projecting horn shaped guides.
