The incremental setting system for a transfluxor (RTM) store has the output voltage of the latter compared with a reference voltage, so that setting pulses are supplied to the store until the two voltages are the same. Together with each setting pulse, at least two interrogation pulses are applied across the interrogation winding, with only the latter of the subsequent output pulses used to determine the output voltage. Pref. the setting pulses and the series of interrogation pulses associated with each are supplied by a single source. The setting pulses are pref. supplied to the setting winding via a NAND circuit and a diode resistor and capacitor circuit, controlling a transistor, with its collector connected to the setting winding.
