Lead wire fastening on coil former - uses hood shaped lead wire ends fitting in coil former recess under pressure of inserted sleeve

The lead wires (5) fastening ends (4) are bent to form a hook which is secured in a matching recess (2,3) by applying a pressure, produced by a sleeve (6) inserted on the coil former (1). This provides positive fastening. The sleeve is preferably of material enriched by soft magnetic particles. This sleeve may reduce the magnetically effective air gap. The sleeve may also act as a magnetic reverse connection and/or a screen for the coil. The securing of the lead wires provides tension relief.
