The trailer with a flat load carrying platform, particularly for transporting a single vehicle, such as a damaged car, has the platform hinged at the rear, onto the chassis, so that it can be tilted for hauling the damaged vehicle onto the platform. This platform has flanges down each side between which the wheels of the transported vehicle can locate, and has a pair of swinging flaps which can be closed when the platform is tilted, but which opens when the platform is level, to allow the tops of the trailer wheels to protrude through slots in the platform. At the front is a pulley and cable system contained with a vertical post for raising that end of the platform, also used for loading the damaged vehicle.
