Ventilation control for electric vehicle traction motor - using pressure monitor for automatic motor cut-out is fitted to electric vehicle

The ventilation control, for the traction motor (1) of an electrically driven vehicle, uses a pressure monitor (6) associated with the air ventilation circuit (2) for the motor. The pressure monitor responds to an insufficient ventilation air intake and is coupled to a transmitter (7) which provides an alarm signal in a circuit independent the ventilator (3) and the motor for warning the vehicle driver, or for automatic cut-off of the motor. The transmitter providing the alarm signal, employs a membrane coupled to the pressure monitor via a pneumatic line.
