A nozzle for ejecting foam or water for fire fighting, and designed to introduce turbulence, contains a cylindrical block (i) in its outlet. This has a conical tip (10) with a set of diagonal helical groves (8) over the slopping surface. The tip protrudes alightly from the face of an end gap (6) which screws onto the end of the jet tube (4). The face of the end cap contains a hole (9) which has grooves matching the grooves on the conical tip. And annular discharge space is between the inside of this hole and the conical face of the tip. Around this hole (9) is a further ring of holes (11).
