The fire sprinkler system for buildings as fitted with water main connection and closed-circuit central heating plant opens automatically when a given temperature is exceeded and is coupled to the water circuit which is linked in its turn to the mains through a cutoff. The system includes a pressure sensor (22) coupled to the water circuit (7). The cutoff (24) is a valve linked to the sensor so that both are opened should the circuit pressure fall below a pre-set value. The pressure sensor (22) should be connected to a warning device (27) which emits an alarm signal when the circuit pressure falls below the stated minimum.
