The wall is airtight and watertight and consists of precast blocks with connecting sides which have at least one concave part. In between two adjacent blocks is a circular-section sealing element which resets against the concave parts. This element can be made of any appropriate material such as pure cement, a resin, bitumen, etc., the only important factor being that the chosen product has greater strength and sealing properties than the material in which the precast blocks are covered. The joints between adjacent blocks are formed by inserting a removable pipe into the circular space formed by the concave parts of two adjacent blocks. This is filled with the selected material and the pipe is removed once it has set. Use of this method of erecting walls avoids the formation of small cracks between two adjacent blocks caused by the weight of the surrounding earth.
