The plastic sealing piece is for use inside bottle tops, the top compressing the seal against the neck of the bottle. There is a central protrusion (31) extending from the centre of the seal towards the interior of the bottle. After use the seal can be used as a button or badge by pushing a pin (35) through a piece of material (39) and into the protrusion. A hole (34) is provided in the centre to guide the pin. As a variation the protrusion can have a transverse hole through which thread or string or a nail or a pin can be pushed. This hole can be a right angles or oblique to the axis of the protrusion, as can be the face of the protrusion from which the hole starts. The pin holes can have a variety of cross-section shapes.
