Each rear wheel is supported on a swing arm pivotted on an axle (4) set between two mounting brackets (8, 9) fitted to each side of the chassis member (2). One bracket supports a fixed pivot (23) for the axle while the other end has an adjustable pivot (31) so that the position of the swing arm is easily controlled. - The two brackets are joined by a cross piece (35) one end of which forms part of the fixed pivot (23), while the other end butts against the movable pivot support. The suspension occupies a minimum of space and is ideally suited for mid engine cars. It also provides good lateral strength.
