Tipping trailer with chassis raising facility - using floating rear mounting for leaf springs and lifting ram

The agricultural trailer is tipped about a rear transverse axis (4) while at the same time the rear section of the chassis is raised so that the load can be securely dumped onto a heap, or into a spreader /hopper. This is achieved by having the rear mounting point of the leaf springs (10) floating, and with the leaf spring packet tilted about its front mounting point as the trailer is tipped. The tiping action of the suspension is controlled by a lever (20) whose other end is linked to the tipping surface by a link so that the whole operation is powered by the single lifting ram (7) of the tipper.
