The articulated pulley belt has individual articulation plates threaded tightly on one or more tractive components. Lateral displacement of the plates against one another in a direction parallel to the surface and vertical to the lengthways direction of the tractive component is prevented. The facing side surfaces (5) of each adjacent articulated plate (1) deviates completely or almost completely from a plane. The plates are trapezoidal in shape, and are bent with a constant thickness. A large bulge peak in the centre of one of the plates (1) connects on each side with an indentation on the two adjacent plates and conversely.
