The inner conductor of the flexible high frequency cable is concentrically surrounded by an outer conductor or a screen, for low-loss transmission of high frequency signals. The outer conductor (6) or the screen (10) is coated with a layer (7, 12) of high lossy, dielectric and/or ferromagnetic material. This coating (7, 12) is preferably made of plastics with conductive filling such as carbon black, graphite, or metal powder. Ferrite powder may be typically used. The coating dielectric constant deviates considerably from that inside the outer conductor or the screen. Thus interference radiation can be almost completely suppressed. The arrangement also provides external attenuation for externally propagating waves, which also reduces interference radiation.
