Optical fibre connecting plug has supporting bodies for fibre ends and alignment elements for supporting bodies and guide pin. The optical fibre ends are arranged in the prismatic grooves of the supporting bodies. One or more grooves have a larger cross-section than the other grooves. The guide pin engages in the groove with the larger cross-section. Part of the generated surface of the guide pin (4) is designed as a plane surface which lies form-closed against one lateral side of the groove arranged in the supporting bodies (1, 1'). The optical fibre can, for example, be bonded to the grooves.
