Plastics ski filled with expanded foam - has glass balls on inside of wall panels to increase shear strength between foam and wall panels

The ski that is made from plastics, has four high density plastic panels (1-4) which form the outer walls of the ski. The internal space which is enclosed by the wall panels, is filled with expanded plastic foam. In order to increase the shear strength of the boundary layer between the expanded plastic foam and the wall panels, tiny glass balls are bonded to the inside of all wall panels. A permanent elastic adhesive is used to attach the glass balls to the wall panels, thus the elasticity of the ski is maintained within an acceptable range of bending.
