The capacitor has a metal base layer which is a good conductor of electricity. The metal base layer is coated onto an insulating support and it is in turn coated with a layer of dielectric material and a metal cover layer. The metal base layer (2), the dielectric layer (3) and the metal cover layer (4) are applied on a cylindrical support (1), with a slot (5) left along a cylinder generatrix. The metal base layer (2) projects from under the dielectric layer (3) covering it.
