The control circuit, for a static converter, has a current regulating circuit with a current regulator before the control circuit and a comparator comparing the required and actual values of the load current. The load's (4) opposite voltage (E) is used as a precontrol voltage (UV) for adding (10) to the output of the current regulator (6). This opposite voltage (E) is formed using another adder (18) that adds the converter's output (U) to that of a PD component (20) receiving the actual current (I).
