Headlamp bulb failure warning system - has relay switch for each bulb filament to open contacts of warning circuit on failure

Each head lamp housing contains a relay switch (R) whose coil is energised when the bulb filament glows. The magnetic coil causes contact points to close and complete a circuit containing a warning light (K1, K2). Should the head lamp filament fail for any reason, the relay coil is de-energised and the contacts open to break the warning lamp circuit. One warning lamp (K1) is actuated by the left hand head lamp relay and a second warning lamp (K2) is operated by the right hand relay. For head lamp bulbs provided with two filaments, a second relay and control lamp must be fitted to indicate individual filament failures.
