Wheel rim for rapid fitting snowchain - with inside rim edge extended to form fitting points for one side of chain

The inner rim of the wheel has a radial extension to allow the rapid fitting of a snow chain. The extended edge (5) is easy to reach from the outside edge of the tyre. The rim has fittings for looping on the edges of the snowchain. An alternate design has folding supports on the inside edge of the wheel rim extended to fit the chain, and clipped back flat against the wheel rim when not required. The chain can be fitted in deep snow without any special tools.
