Cyclodextrin - contg cigarette filter - selectively adsorbing nicotine and tars

Cigarette filter consists mainly or exclusively of cyclodextrin (I) as active adsorbent. The pref. cigarette filter is shaped as a cigarette holder consisting of a mouthpiece and a cigarette uptake device. (I) selectively adsorbs harmful cigarette smoke chemicals, e.g. nicot and tars, without subsequent desorption. Taste, aroma and flavour of cigarette are unimpaired.
