Compsns. for treatment of thrombotic disorders, esp. in the elderly, comprise =1 desoxyvinacaminic acid deriv. (I) in all stereoisomeric forms; a mono- di-substd. benzoic acid deriv., esp. salicylamide, o-acetoxybenzoic acid and salts, esters and amides, and the isomeric diacetoxy acids and their salts, esters and amides; and opt. ascorbic acid (deriv). opt. substd. by 1 or 2 OH or 1-6C lkoxy groups; R1 and R2 = H or 1-4C alkyl, R2 may further=phenylalkyl orccycloalkyl alkyl, the alkyl groups of which have 1-4C or R1 and R2 together with the N atom form a 5-7 membered heterocycle, optionally containing O, N or S as another hereto atom, the N atom being optionally substd. by 1-6C alkyl; R3 and R4 = H or CH3; R5 = 1-4C alkyl, R6R7 and R8 = H or CH3; m beta 1-5; n = 2-7). The compositions have vasodilator and tissue oxygenator activity and inhibit plate let aggregation.
