摘要
Miniature static electric relays esp. for remote controlled missiles, rockets, etc., where an electric circuit is closed by the reaction of a pyrotechnic compsn. contg. e.g. silver oxide boron and/or a methylsilicone (CH3)3-SiO (CH3)2-SiO n-Si(CH3)3, triggered by an electrically-ignited second pyrotechnic cpd., the two metallic electrodes can be soldered together by e.g. silver produced by the redn. of silver oxide. The relays are about 1 cm. in dia. and are interchangeable with static semiconductor relays; the control pulse can be =1 millisecond. A heater wire embedded in a second cpd. is used to trigger the device. Instead of silver oxide, the oxides of Pb, Zn or Cu can be used with boron or silicon. The closing of the circuit is irreversible and unaffected by temp., press. or electromagnetic fields.
