The endless chain-saw has links running in a track formed on an arm with a rounded end, the chain being driven by a sprocket engaging with the links. The guide track is in the form of a strip (34) relieved at the sides, and the tails are double-armed (15), fitting round the strip on both sides. Each tail arm may have a claw engaging in the relieved portion of the strip. The strip can be a wearing component, fitted on the periphery of the arm. The sprocket can have straight and solid spur teeth.
