The appts. provides means for texturising continuous filament synthetic yarns using heating, false twisting and fluid jet devices. It comprises a yarn source, delivery devices heaters, a false-twisting spindle, a moistening trough, a fluid jet, a take-up bobbin and waste removal tubes. Appts. involves such a train of operations and is usually difficult to start up, but the delivery devices may be engaged progressively to run at increasing yarn speeds in relation to each other. This arrangement assists in the threading up procedure, and ensures a smooth and rapid return to normal running.
