Anti-corrosion coating applicator - uses connected automotive carriage for primer application and has relative distance dependent on optimum conditions

The appliance is for the application of anti-corrosion coatings to the exterior of long distance pipelines. It has an automotive carriage moving along the pipe during coating. The carriage has a storage tank for the coating medium, and a hollow ring connected to it, with application apertures. A channel and tank below the pipe opposite to the ring collect excess material, and feed it via a pump into the ring. A second independent carriage (11) in front of the first one (4) carries an applicator (2) for a primer. The two carriages are connected via a length-adjustable hinged rod and the relative distance may be adjusted dependent upon optimum conditions for subsequent application of primer and anti-corrosion protection.
