Method for optimizing distance in plane or e.g. road area, relative to e.g. terrain condition, in e.g. military application, involves forming minimum surface from integral value of influencing factor over optimal distance
The method involves forming a landscape as a plane (12) or an area in a multidimensional coordinate system (10). An influencing factor (E) is determined for point of illustrations in the system and stored in an influencing factor dimension, and a minimum surface (20) is formed from an integral value of the influencing factor over an optimal distance (18). The coordinate system is provided with multiple influencing factor dimensions for different influencing factors, and a total influencing factor is computed from the individually stored influencing factors. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for optimizing distance in a plane or an area.
