1469728 Tractor hitch JEAN WALTERSCHEID GmbH 23 July 1975 [24 July 1974] 30757/75 Heading A1P The vertical spacing of the links of a three point power lift hitch is maintained by a leaf spring associated with each lower link 36, one end being rotatably connected or universally jointed to a part of or associated with the lower link and the other end being rigidly connected either to the upper link 30 or to a cross member which supports the upper link and interconnects the leaf springs. The leaf springs are pre-formed to an arcuate configuration or adopt such configuration in use. The leaf springs 11 (Fig. 7) extend vertically from a cross member 7 connected to upper link 30 by a bearing 8 and inclined portions 12 connect the leaf springs to the lower links. The leaf springs 2 (Fig. 4) extend obliquely towards the lower links from a cross member 7 and are formed with a screw-like twist extending laterally relative to the cross member and a plurality of spaced parallel stabilizer bevels 3. The vertical distance between the upper and lower links can be adjusted by lever 10 which causes a toothed surface on an arm of a member 6 connected to the leaf spring to disengage a toothed surface on the end portion 25 of the cross member so that rotation about a bolt 20 of the arm of member 6 with respect to the cross member can occur. The leaf spring and member 6 are connected by a pivot 17 so that the separation of the leaf springs can be adjusted by a screw 15 sliding in slots 14 and 16 in the member 6 and leaf spring respectively and held in position by a stop nut. The length of upper link 30 may be adjusted by cable 41.
