Semi-luxury foodstuffs, esp. drinks, are prepd. by adding to one constituent, or a mixt. of constituents for the drinks, an essential oil or extract of a fruit, herb, seed, etc., in the form of a fine spray or mist. The addn. of the extract is effected by means of a container from which a measured quantity of the extract, with an additive or possible dissolved in alcohol, can be dispensed in a spray, either propelled by a compressed gas or pumped out when a valve is actuated by a finger. Imparts the desired flavour to the drink more efficiently, improving also the taste and aroma to a degree greatly superior to those obtd. by simply adding a fluid.
