1301056 Hydraulic fluids MONSANTO CO 19 April 1971 [10 March 1970] 23556/71 Heading C5F Hydraulic fluids comprise a phosphate ester base and a perfluorinated anionic surfactant (e.g. an alkali metal salt of a perfluoro-alkyl or cycloalkyl sulphonic acid). The phosphate ester may be an alkyl, aryl or polyalkoxy ester or mixtures thereof (many examples being given). Optional additives include water, polyalkylmethacrylates, polyalkylacrylates, polyoxyethylenes, polyurethanes and epoxy and polyepoxy compounds (many examples are given including 1,2-epoxydodecane and poly (2,3- epoxypropyl crotonate).
