The control is intended for a multicylinder combustion engine and comprises a cam with three-dimensional cam face whose position is determined by a variable operational parameter and the throttle position. The cam is rotated via a cranked lever from the accelerator pedal, which lever is axially slidably connected with the cam. The cam is axially slidable in a housing of which one side connects with atmos. and the other side forms a chamber connected to the engine suction vacuum via a storage vessel. The chamber contains a spring acting on the cam, and the pressure in this chamber is controlled by a valve electrically operated via a spindle.
