The pedal (10) has a pedal cylinder (30) including an electromagnet and a steel plate. The steel plate rests against the electromagnet in a position, and the steel plate is arranged at a distance from the electromagnet in another position. The electromagnet and the steel plate are coupled with a base element (14) and a pedal plate (12), respectively. The electromagnet and the steel plate are moved relative to each other from the former position to the latter position during operating the pedal plate in an intermediate position.
