Mfr. of fibre-reinforced plastics bars or rods used for transmission of torsional forces, comprises placing =1 diagonally woven tubular textile over a lost foam core, impregnating the tube with hardenable plastics, and curing. The prod. is used for mfr. of torsion rods, torsion springs or Cadan shafts. Considerably lower wt. than prior art, similar e.g. prods. yet same mechanical strength and excellent resilience is obtd.
