High speed electromagnetic suspension track - has L=shaped vehicle magnets exerting vertical support and flat guiding forces

The high-performance high-speed guiding track uses an electromagnetic support and guiding system. There are two spaced T- or L-shaped iron rails (6) for electromagnetic support and guidance of a vehicle (1). The latter bears L-shaped support and guide magnets (7, 8) alternately singly or in groups one behind the other, in two lengthways rows. The support magnets (7) are in electromagnetic contact with the appropriate rail so as to generate vertical force. The guide magnet's (8) contact with their rail, causes a horizontal or inclined force to be generated. This combines the advantages of flexible guidance with those of inexpensive support and equipment construction.
