Bottle washing machine broken bottle discharge system - uses cross conveyor under upper delivery point for washed bottles

The bottle washing machine with holders into which the bottles are inserted to travel around a conveying circuit, also includes provision for removal of broken bottles. The bottles are fed in at a low level feeding point and removed at a delivery point by a take-off conveyor. The belt conveyor(26) for removing broken bottles is located underneath this delivery point. The broken bottles are then conveyed sideways to a discharge point underneath the bottle carrier above (16). The breakages are guided towards the belt (26) by a sloping end sheet (28). The opening for the breakages at this point precedes the normal discharge opening, and includes a gap through the guide grid (20) around the return path for the bottles.
