Electrolytic cell, e.g. a lead/acid accumulator, dry accumulator, fuel cell or metal recovery cell, has =1 electrode formed from electrically non-conducting, material (I) in the form of a three dimensional net with an electrically conducting network (II) (partly) exposed on its surface. The cell contains electrodes with a relatively high utilisation coefficient, high porosity, very low electrical resistance, and good resilience.
