The transport network, for passenger or goods conveyance, comprises a number of traffic lines for serving a residential urban area with wagons rolling along a guideway track. The vehicles are driven by a part engaging a channel carrying a fluid by flows continuously at high speed. Every circulating traffice line is connected to a central circulating traffice line which serves as a distributor circuit, by a set of entry and exit junction points. The directions of traffice in all the circulating traffice lines, including those of the distributor circuit, may run the same way. The central circuit can have a relatively short line, with no stopping places, so that it consists solely of a stream of wagons passing at intervals of a few seconds.
