The jacking device has one or more jacks and can be used on motor bicycles, cars, vans, buses, heavy motor vehicles or caravans. It may be used to raise one or more wheels for repairs, wheel changing or fitting snow chains. The jacks (3) are operated manually through remote control or locally. One or more jacks with feet (5) and with fitted piston rod (4) running in a cylinder (3) are mounted on the vehicle frame. Return motion is by spring or a double acting jack cylinder. Operating power may be hydraulic or pneumatic. A pressure accumulator (5) and a distributor (6) with locking key can be combined with an anti thief feature.
