The electronic thermometer is designed to rapidly measure ambient, fluid, or contact temps. with a universal robust probe whilst employing simple electronic circuit. The probe consists of a bistable switching element which has an absolutely linear variable characteristic within wide temp. limits. The thermometer can be used for measurements in liquids gases and solids having temp. ranges from -160 deg.C to +150 deg.C. The bistable element may consist of a bimetallic strip, which bends as the temp. change and suddenly clicks over from one state to the other.
