The figure display system uses a combination of character segments. The system has a circuit which displays one at least of five elementary character segments. Two of these segments are C shaped and are arranged one above the other. Two others have an inverted C shape arranged one above the other and facing the two other segments. The last segment has a rectilinear shape. The system has means which ensure that the segments overlap to form continuous curved figures.
