Water injection system for IC engine - has water drawn through holes in throat of venturi pipe supplying air

The water injection system is for reducing the fuel consumption of an internal combustion engine. The water is stored in a tank (1) with three inlets (6) fitted to the lid (7). Each inlet is connected to a common venturi pipe (3) which has radial holes (4) at the throat. The venturi is then connected to the carburettor (9). When the engine is running, air is drawn in through non-return valves in the inlet and this air draws in water through the radial holes in the venturi (8). This mixture of air and water is then heated by the resistance coil (23) before it flows into the carburettor.
