The bankd of cutting blades comprises several blades (5a to d) joined together to form an elongated strip. The band may be utilised in knives with demountable blades and used for general domestic or drawing office purposes. The individual blade elements are joined by rupture lines (6a to c) permitting manual detachment and disposal of the leading worn element, and each element has a hooked head (7a to d) with a concave curved cutting edge (8a to d). The band may also be notched (9a to 9c) to reduce the effective length of the rupture lines (6a to c).
