The cutting pliers are used on door frames of shaped metal sections and comprises two articulating members of which a handle section (1) extends beyond the fulcrum pin to form a jaw (2, 3). The jaws overlap one another at closure and have curved cutting edges (4, 5) whose profiles correspond to that of the section being cut. Complementary convex and concave (5) cutting edge curvatures may be provided on the upper and lower jaws respectively, the workpiece resting on the lower jaw to be progressively sheared at a constant cutting angle.
