The therapeutic apparatus electrically determines the position of acupuncture points, and treats them electrically. It has a detection and a treatment instrument, and can be used with a single-pole or a double-pole coaxial detector. To change between the detection and the treatment function, it is merely necessary to press a button on the detector. Detection can be by variation of audio frequency and programming of an extinction threshold, so that frequency varies on approaching the point sought, and sound ceases altogether when the adjustable threshold is reached.
