PURPOSE:To prevent misprinting due to the interference of noise with the stepping pulse train by closing the gate except for the period during which the generation of the pacing pulse is estimated by means of a gate provided between the stepping pulse generation part and the type selection control section. CONSTITUTION:A gate 10 is provided behind the stepping pulse generation part 9 for forming a stepping pulse from the position signal. The gate 10 is closely by the stepping pulse gate signal from the stepping pulse gate control section 11 until the subsequent stepping pulse arrives after the generation of a stepping pulse. By this, the output of noise or the like is cut from the gate 10 on so that the stepping pulse alone is outputted to the type selection control section 12.
