BILE ACID INCLUSION COMPOUND AND INJECTION CONTAINING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To prepare a soluble inclusion compound of a bile acid and beta-cyclodextrin, free from deposition of the crystal of bile acid regardless of pH, applicable to injection and useful as a cholagogue. CONSTITUTION:An inclusion compound of a bile acid and beta-cyclodextrin. The bile acid is, e.g., cholic acid, dehydrocholic acid, deoxycholic acid, chenodeoxycholic acid, ursodeoxycholic acid, etc. The inclusion compound is prepared by dissolving beta-cyclodextrin and a bile acid in water and concentrating the solution, or adding 2-5 times volume of water to beta-cyclodextrin, mixing the resultant slurry with a bile acid and concentraing the solution. USE:A raw material for syrup or a gallstone-dissolving agent.
