PURPOSE:To make it possible for simple construction and smooth steering, as well to eliminate slipping, by arranging transmitting equipment for driving wheel and transmission gear for steering operation on and alongside of loop shaped frame which is constructed alongside of circumference of planting device. CONSTITUTION:Mid-mount type man-ride rice planting machine is arrange and provided with planting device 3 at middle position of space which is constructed by one front wheel 1, located just in the center of machine width and one couple of right and left rear wheels 2, 2 and as well, provided with, seen from above, loop shaped frame 4 in a state of surrounding this planting device 3. At this time, there arranged, alongside of one side of part 4A of frame 4, transmission shaft 5 for steering wheel 1 which is interlocked one end with inside of rear mission case 10 and another end interlocked with vertical shaft 12 via bevel gear 15, 15 and moreover, along inside of other side part 4B of machine width, arrange steering operation transmit shaft 6 which one end interlock with steering handle 7 and the other end interlocked with supporting frame 11 via bevel gear 16, 16.
