Appliance control device has a switching assembly (32, 33, 34) for the collection of input signals situated in an ignition proof chamber (25). The converter (41) for the transmission of these signals is situated in a second ignition proof chamber (20). The two chambers are connected by an intermediate connecting bracket (24), which also forms a support for the converter. The bracket has sealed joints around the edges, and has holes for the passage of electrical connecting wires between the two chambers.
