Process for applying a protective film on a plastic profile produced by extrusao and plastic profile

A flexible plastic profile manufactured by extrusion is to be protected by a plastic film which adheres so well to a surface that it remains free of folds and on the other hand can be easily pulled off later. These conditions should also be easily maintained if different profile materials of different adhesive properties from those of the material of the protective film are used. This is possible firstly since the protective film material is applied to the extrusion-warm plastic profile. Secondly, a mixture of two thermoplastic components is used to form the protective film, of which components the one has weak adhesive properties with respect to the profile material and the other strong adhesive properties and their mixing ratio can be easily changed according to the adhesive properties of the plastic profile.
